Hello and...Goodbye Friends..
Sooo..
the king of all things SUPER has been away for quite sometime from America's favorite baseball blog, MiLB's hottest blog and the South Atlantic League's longest running blog...Diggin' In to the Legends with meeeeee....SuperMario!
I'll do it again...as I have multiple times...I apologize for being away for quite sometime.
Lots of things have been happening around the good ole Lexington, K-Y as the 10th anniversary of Lexington Legends Baseball and Applebee's Park are just mere months away.
Major facility upgrades are in store at the Orchard...a brand new videoboard will be added in left field of the stadium...new signage will be seen throughout the Orchard for the new season....and many new smiling front offices workers and gameday employee faces will be walking throughout Applebee's Park come Friday, April 16.
One of those faces you won't be seeing hustlin' and bustlin' around Lexington's only professional team facility in 2010 is....MINE :(
As of Friday, March 5th 2010 @ 5pm I will no longer be working for YOUR hometeam.
A few blogs ago...I mentioned how I took on a part-time position in the off-season with Lexington television station, ABC 36...well just recently...the station offered me a full-time position as a news reporter that I accepted and will begin immediately.
I'm not sure what will happen with this dear ole blog of mine after I retire to stage left but I do want to express my extreme gratitude to each and everyone who I came into contact with while serving as the "DIRECTOR OF FUN" for the Lexington Legends. It's been a blast and I have enjoyed EVERY minute of everyday being an employee of such a great team and organization.
I thank EVERYONE for reading this bad boy of a thing we call "Diggin' In to the Legends" for the last three years and the only thing I can say now as I end the blog for the final time..
KEEP IT SUPER ALWAYS...FRIENDS!
